Dimitris Papazacharias grew up in Tripoli and has been living in Athens since 2012. He holds a MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras and a MSc in Political Philosophy from Panteion University. For the past ten years, he has been working as a Software Engineer, specializing in web development.
His political and theoretical pursuits, along with the experience of 2015, steered him toward cooperativism and the Social and Solidarity Economy (S.S.E.) as a space for building work and production alternatives. His practical involvement with S.S.E. began through Co-Fund, of which he is a founding member and managing partner.
He would like to be able to devote more time and resources to social investment, social innovation, decentralization, and S.S.E. initiatives with a positive environmental and social impact.
In his free time, he tries to play less chess online and to learn more about economics, history, and international geopolitical developments.
