Co-Fund has completed its third funding of the year, directed to the Workers’ Cooperative “7 Corfu Meals – 7 Giomata tis Kerkiras“, following the collection of the required amount and after the first two fundings of this cycle had already taken place.
The “7 Corfu Meals” Cooperative runs a grocery store in the village of Chorepiscopoi in northern Corfu, serving people from across the surrounding area who would otherwise have to travel several kilometres to purchase essential goods. The store is particularly vital for the elderly residents of the area who have no means of transport, as well as for people with very low incomes who rely on the store’s support in a spirit of solidarity.
Co-Fund is contributing a cash facility of €4,000 to help the venture expand its product range and extend its retail space. The repayment of the amount is expected to be completed in summer 2025.
