Team member CV
Fotis Papastergiou was born and lives in Athens, with a few years of residence also in Cyprus and the Netherlands for studies. He graduated as an economist from the University of Piraeus, continued his studies in the field of Cultural Economics & Entrepreneurship at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. However, because the need for knowledge never stops, he is still continuing his studies on Social and Solidarity Economy at the Open University. In his early professional years, he was actively involved in wholesale trade, but then he was fascinated by technology and its impact on society and the economy, as a result of which he has been working in the IT field for the last 10 years.
He currently works as a Product Manager at the technological non-profit organization “Science For You” and is a member of Co-fund.
He still believes, despite any difficulties, that the collective nature of SSE’s ventures constitutes the most suitable foundation, not only for an economy, but also for a society that focuses on the needs of the whole – of the many and the few.
He is the bass player of “Pos Tus Ipame” (a band that clearly has psychotherapeutic powers, at least for him!) and tries to keep his mind open by studying strange and exotic things such as AI, Blockchain, capital, money and surpluses within the framework of SSE.
